Health

The Health section feature is the Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improving community-based health care services in the City and County of Peterborough.  The Foundation raises funds to support the 5 Peterborough Networked Family Health Teams (FHTs) with needed capital equipment, education, research opportunities and innovative programs such as the Youth Sports Concussion Program.  Formerly St. Joseph's Care Foundation, the Foundation has served the Greater Peterborough area since 1985 and funded tens of millions of dollars to improve health care.

The Foundation operates with a Board of Directors, two employees, and the support of many office and event volunteers.  There are a variety of volunteer placements available for everything from administration and reception to event planning to research.
